Rachel and I flew to Portland last Friday morning to visit Jenna and test the waters for the weekend.

My film got real wacked up from the security scanning I think, not really sure. Lots of weird lines / colors. Did my best to correct it but don't really care enough to perfect it so whatevs~

We wanted cheeseburgers and milkshakes when we were waiting for our plane at 9 in the morning; luckily Portland delivered.

That night we went to the food carts but it was dark obv so I didn't take my camera. Video coming later. The next morning Rachel snuggle-wiggled and I wanted to cry. She is so beautiful.

Then we went to get pizza at Jenna's favorite pizza place called Sizzle Pie (which I video-ed).

Then Powell's.

Then we saw this film crew inside a restaurant on our way to Voodoo for donuts. We also met up with one of Jenna's friends Courtney who was very nice and cool and is working on a thesis about hanging out which is cool too. :)

Rachel had a minor panic attack trying to decide which donuts to get, then ultimately decided on a lemon chiffon and an apple fritter. I got a grape ape and a regular glazed, and Jenna got an apple fritter too and something else but I don't remember. All were delicious.

Sunday morning we got up to go to brunch at Jenna's regular spot called Jam which was delicious. Alea was there in spirit with us.

I got a scramble (eggs + jalapeños, red onion, and pepper jack cheese, hash browns, and toast)

Jenna got hash browns with bacon and avocado and a biscuit, and Rachel got hash browns with avocado, bacon and cheddar cheese and toast)

Then we walked down the street for a while, went into a vintage furniture shop and just looked around at the trees.

That night we went to Portland Poetry Slam and met Alea and then had dessert/drinks at the Pied Cow and then hung out for a while. Then it was time for bed and time to leave.
Don't mistake Rachel's smiles in these photos for anything other than misery. Also just was trying to finish the roll so lots of plane window pics. ;)
