my room has a big window in it that my bed is next to so I spend a lot of time looking out it while I wake up or try to fall asleep. also have been playing with the crazy telephoto lens that came with my ae-1 when I bought it off ebay and the way it gets light is soooOoOOo beautiful, can't get over it. here are some Across The Alley studies.
Matt got back from a month in Europe (mostly Italy) a couple weeks ago and I met him at the airport; I got there early so I had a mcd's cheeseburger bc I wanted to catch a bus and skipped making a bagel and was starving by the time I got to O'Hare. then I watched people arriving from places and thought about how easy art is inside an airport. there was a group of kids ~8yo that were all reuniting with their parents/families (idk from where) and I cried. then Matt came up behind me and hugged me and I was very surprised. so then I had to make him get away from me so I could take his pic, then we hugged some more. :) it is very good to have him back in the USA.
Catie came to meet us for lunch in the neighborhood and :') sidewalk reunion. Then we ate Mexican bc Matt wanted spicy stuff and we also had American Nachos.
Then they had to go home :(

The ladies of Pemberley bought tickets back in March to see the Chicago Symphony Orchestra do the live score for the Two Towers so we all hopped on the Metra to Ravinia and had fun times among approximately eight million lotr fans.

Then I went home for a couple days!! I love Indiana, did you know!!!!!!
Catie and I sat outside in the backyard (I love backyards, did you know!!!!!) and I've been trying to memorize a poem this summer since I never have (almost there; maybe like ~2 lines I get the gist of but not quite and about 6 lines at the end I haven't gotten to yet) so I read and tried to not get blinded by the sun (I love the sun too).

Then we had a beach day with Norie and how many times have I seen this view
When we got to the water it was so hazy there was literally no horizon, just water sky. eventually it cleared up more (regret I didn't take a photo from in the water when it was like that but oh well) but we jumped right in and it was beautiful. All of us had shit summers as far as enjoying Lake Michigan so there was much "this is the best"-ing.

We went and had DQ after and I had a s'mores blizzard that was Excellent, Catie had a milkshake, and Nora had a cookie dough blizzard (duh). ....but I was out of film!
